Contracts
GeM is the
contracts repository and eMarketplace for the higher education and
further education sectors. The contracts system holds only
sector-negotiated and approved contracts. This allows
institutions full control over what their users can

GeM offers a
free to use eMarketplace for the higher education and further
education sectors. GeM enables users to view and buy
products and services from contracted suppliers in a controlled

Surplus Equipment
JISC Procureweb offers the
Xchange system as a free to use equipment
advertising system allowing institutions with Higher and Further
Education to advertise and buy redundant equipment from one

eTendering
JISC Procureweb offers the Tenders system as a free
to use tender advertising system. Registered users can post
adverts and upload tender documentation for suppliers to
download and complete.
Suppliers are also able to register with http://www.tenders.ac.uk to get alerts for new

Management Information
JISC Procureweb offers tools such as the Annual Returns Database
(ARD) and a Procurement Efficiency Survey.
These tools support institutions and consortia to optimise the use
of information systems, improving collaboration, efficiency and

Procurement Staff Directory
JISC Procureweb offers a full online procurement staff directory
for procurement professionals in the Higher and Further Education
sectors. Search the Directory to find contact details for
specific people or groups within the sector.
Access Management
JISC Procureweb runs a central access management system that
controls access to all of its online resources. The system is also
available for sector groups and suppliers to use to control access

Procurement Information
JISC Procureweb's vision is to become a single point of contact
for Procurement Information within post 16 education. JISC
Procureweb are supporting institutions by developing best practice
for ICT systems procurement, and promoting the development and use
of open standards to enable different systems to work together. View more

Technical Advice
JISC Procureweb offers technical advice on the procurement of IT
systems and services and management of IT contracts to users within

Web Development
JISC Procureweb offers a full web and database development
service. Applications can be developed within a modern open source
content management systems or can be developed from scratch to meet

Work Based Learning
JISC Procureweb are working with Steve Durham, RSC Northern, on
a Department of Business, Innovation and Skills funded
project, to develop a programme of work which will make
improvements to the way that procurement is managed by
WBL.
